Every organization renovates technology and utilizes better ways of technology usage to bring best, smooth and quick results. Same thing happened with WePay in the start of year 2014. WePay – a payment gateway service provider – upgraded their API version 2011-01-15 on January 8th, 2014. Although new API version is released but backward compatibility is still there; which means, the old API users will still be able to continue processing payments.

WePay is one of the best online payment service providers for small businesses in the United States of America. WePay helps service providers to send invoices, accept payments and charge customer’s credit cards on their website. Business owners who are looking to increase their amount of customer donations can embed a “Donate” button on their website and start to collect money via their online marketplace. This feature allows the reach of company fundraising efforts and can work to make them top of mind for customers as they navigate throughout the site and finalize purchases. WePay also provides an API service to developers to access their payments platform.

If you are running a website, shopping cart, e-commerce portal or a crowdfunding website and processing payments using WePay.com API facilities, you have enough time to prepare a API migration route to support new API calls. WePay old API calls will not work after July 7th 2014 and will result in errors to your customers.

At Kenovate Solutions, we have technical experience to work with various APIs and SDKs including WePay.com to let an e-commerce portal or fund raising event website work in compliance with payment gateway integration guidelines.
